Climate change indicator update
A changing climate has multiple impacts on our health and some population groups will be more affected by climate change than others. The climate change indicators include the following:
- temperature: number of days above 25°C, number of days below 0°C
- drought: number of days with soil moisture deficit
- health effects: notifications of giardiasis, salmonellosis, and cryptosporidiosis
- vulnerable population groups: young children, older adults, New Zealand Index of Deprivation, ethnicity
