New meningococcal disease indicator released

We have recently released a new indicator on meningococcal disease in children.  Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial infection, which can cause meningitis, blood poisoning, and even death. Household crowding increases the risk of meningococcal disease in children. 

In 2016, there were 35 notifications of meningococcal disease in children aged  0–14 years.  Read more or download the factsheet
